ImPACT Applications and The Rothman Institute Establish Comprehensive Concussion Management Program
ImPACT Applications, Inc., developer of the ImPACT© Test and ImPACT Concussion Management Model, announced a partnership with Rothman Institute, an internationally recognized center of excellence in orthopaedic science and technology, to support Rothman Institute’s initiative with concussion education and baseline screenings for student athletes.
The partnership includes a global contract for ImPACT’s baseline and post-injury testing. In addition, Athletic Trainers at Rothman Institute will receive specialized training in ImPACT neurocognitive baseline and post-injury test administration and the implementation of ImPACT’s Concussion Management Model. At the completion of the training, the Athletic Trainers will become credentialed ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainers (ITATs).
“We believe that baseline and post-injury testing as well as specialized training in using ImPACT are necessary to treat our student athletes to assure their safe return to learn and return to play,” said Rob Franks, D.O., Medical Director of the Rothman Sports Concussion Institute.
The Rothman Institute is home to the official Orthopaedic Physicians of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Philadelphia Flyers and the USA Olympic Women’s Gymnastic Team. It also provides athletic training services to dozens of area colleges and high schools.
