Success story

Because Lincoln Middle School baseline tests all student-athletes, they needed a tool that was easy to administer and would save them time. They looked no further than ImPACT baseline testing, FDA-cleared to be taken at home.

Baseline Testing for All

Lincoln Middle School has been using ImPACT as part of their comprehensive concussion protocol for many years. As part of their protocol, they baseline test all student-athletes every year to ensure all students are prepared in case of a suspected head injury. Students who are not involved in athletics are also given the opportunity to take a baseline test.

At-Home Baseline Testing: A win-win for students and administrators

Lincoln Middle School faced some challenges with their historical in-person group baseline testing model. The biggest challenge was that baseline testing could not be administered until students were physically on campus at the start of the school year. Once students were on campus, administrators had to baseline test hundreds of students with limited resources, which would take several testing sessions and multiple days to complete. This time-consuming approach often resulted in student-athletes not having their baseline test in time for the start of practices.

To overcome these challenges, Lincoln Middle School made the switch to using FDA-cleared, at-home ImPACT baseline testing. Now they use the Customer Center to generate and send unique links to all students to complete an ImPACT baseline test from home before the start of the school year. By doing so, students already have their baseline test completed at the start of the athletic season and are ready to participate in practices right away.

“The ability to generate codes for at-home baseline testing in the Customer Center has totally changed the game for us. We’ve saved so much time.”
