Position Description for Marketing Content Strategist

Location: San Diego, CA

As ImPACT Applications’ Content Marketing Strategist, you are responsible for all content marketing initiatives which include: research, identifying customers to target, producing content, driving traffic and leads from content marketing. You’ll be reporting to CMO.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop and execute a content strategy to engage prospects and customers
• Create written, video, and audio content
• Record audio and video content as needed
• Be comfortable with being on camera
• Leverage data intelligence for content marketing
• Ensure that all marketing communications are on-brand and on-message
• Focus on results, not activity or volume of content, but also dig into results to understand why content works or not
• Influence marketing program plans, including all related promotional tactics and copy, to enhance the reach and visibility of all created assets
• Closely collaborate with other marketing team members during planning and creating any content
• Leverage SEO insights to attract prospects and customers to relevant, timely, and evidence-based content to help move them make educated decisions
• Identify opportunities to repurpose existing marketing assets into other forms of content, updating and modifying them as needed

What you should bring:

• BA/BS degree
• 2+ yrs of experience in marketing communications
• 2+ yrs experience writing, editing, and curating impactful, informative, and evidence-based content such as eBooks, guides, web pages, infographics, presentations, case studies, videos, and webinars
• Past experience building audiences either online or offline
• A dual-minded approach: you’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions
• Experience with WordPress and Adobe Creative Cloud
